Doctor examining older Indian manHelp the Aged campaigns for a better deal for older people everywhere, and international work is central to our charitable efforts.

We want older people in developing countries to have shelter, food, water, income, security and access to health and education. We want them to be fully included in international development work as key members of their communities.

We also want to empower older people across the EU to engage with national and European policy mechanisms to secure improvements in their lives.

This section contains information about our policy position and our work on:

  • international development;
  • the impact of HIV/AIDS on older people;
  • the impact of disasters on older people; and
  • tackling poverty amongst older people in developing countries.
