Policy statements Access to safe, reliable and affordable transport for older people is a key concern for Help the Aged. Older people are less likely than the rest of the population to drive a car, and therefore the quality of public transport is particular concern. In this section you will find information on how Help the Aged wants to see policy changed to ensure that older people have access to transport which is suited to their needs and flexible enough to fit their varied lifestyles. You will also find information on concessionary fares. Also in this section, you will find information relating to the Charity's policy on older drivers and on pedestrian safety.
